Using out-of-date apps or templates and plug-ins for them, or using very simple passwords is always a risk for your sites since these things make it significantly easier hack them. Things will get even worse if you have a lot of sites because all of them will be in danger when an attacker takes over just one of them. Because of this we have developed JailHost - an advanced level security feature which isolates Internet sites from each other. If a site is compromised, the attacker will be unable to find or gain access to any other content outside the site folder, so all other websites part of this account will be protected and will remain intact. The JailHost option won't replace carrying out regular script updates or using proper passwords, but it'll minimize the damage to your sites significantly, so you will have to fix only one site and not all of them.

JailHost in Shared Hosting

If you host your Internet sites within a shared hosting account from our firm, you'll be able to protect them using the JailHost feature with just a couple of clicks in your Hepsia Control Panel. This feature is available with all packages and can be enabled for any folder because the domains and subdomains in Hepsia have individual folders, so that files for many different sites don't get mixed up as it frequently happens with other Control Panels. We haven't activated JailHost by default as you could use scripts that require access to folders outside the main site folder and this option could interfere with their correct operation, but protecting all the other folders is simple and easy. In case a protected site gets hacked for whatever reason, we will be able to recover it in a short time as we will have multiple daily backup copies of your entire account and you will even be able to view the available backups from Hepsia.
